Alysha Brilla is a three-time JUNO Award and Canadian Screen Award-nominated artist, producer, and multi-instrumentalist celebrated for her fusion of global roots and folk music. Drawing from her Indo-Tanzanian roots and Great Lakes spirit, Brilla creates music rich in rhythm, storytelling and cultural depth. Her powerful voice, percussive guitar and radiant stage presence have captivated audiences across North America, Australia, Europe and Africa.
Performing with her dynamic band featuring one-man band Sammy Duke and Jamaican reggae royalty percussionist Gerima Harvey, Brilla delivers an immersive, joy-filled live experience that bridges genres and generations. Also an award-winning film composer, she has collaborated with Grammy-winning artists and produced acclaimed cross-cultural projects that uplift and unite.
